Will FLECTR 360 OMNI fit my bike?

In general FLECTR 360 OMNI fits almost every modern bike rim - in detail:

YES: If your bike has disc brake wheels and a rim height (normally called “dephts”) with a minimum of 15 mm and maximum of about 34 mm - which is normal for over 95% of all disc brake bike wheels.

YES: If your bike has a rim brake wheel and a minimum curvature with a height of minimum 15 mm or more above the brake flank. Complete rim depths: minimum of 25 mm and maximum of about 44 mm.

NO: If your bike has a common rim brake wheel with a square shape without any curvature above the brake flank. Normally only found on some trekking and also cheaper bikes. No reason to cry – FLECTR ZERO (www.flectr.bike) will fit every wheel, because it is spoke mounted!

In fact FLECTR 360 OMNI can be adapted to any rim depth, but the integrated cutting lines support the above named dimensions. FLECTR 360 OMNI is optimized for wheel diameters above 24” and fits rims with maximum of 32 spokes. It doesn´t fit children-, folding- or fat bikes.

How much reflectors should I install on my bike?

It is standard in many countries to have one reflector per wheel, means two wheel reflectors per bike. For this reason one set of FLECTR 360 OMNI comes with 4 pcs. each – keep in mind: 2 pcs. build ONE reflector. So with one set of FLECTR 360 OMNI you are able to equip your bike with one reflector per wheel. To add a good amount of extra reflection - with two reflectors per wheel - you need two sets for one bike. It´s on you to decide how much safety you need and what you prefer optically.

I have seen wheel stickers online - how do they compare?

Simple, often cheap stickers can be found on the known marketplaces. Absolutely all of them are made from substandard materials with low reflective power - mostly outdated glas bead technology or chinese materials. To get an acceptable amount of reflection out of them, you have to cover your rims completely (as known from reflective sidewall tires.) DIY fans often think “diamond grade tape” from a major brand would be a good material. Please forget it - it is designed for use on static and non-rotational objects and fails in several viewing angles. Beyound that, it isn´t conformable and can´t be bonded convex-concave over two directions as needed on a bicycle´s rim.

Does FLECTR 360 OMNI replace bike lights?

In fact FLECTR 360 OMNI throws back the same amount of light in a distance of about 15 metres as most battery-driven bike lights, but we think it isn´t a good idea at all to ride in the dark without proper lighting. Reflectors should be understood as an expansion of your safety concept. They increase your visibility, work 365 days a year without maintenance and are still there, when your lights may fail.

Can I do something like FLECTR 360 OMNI myself?

Yes you can, but be sure to end with following results: Any DIY reflector will have an insufficient reflectivity or it will wrinkle, delaminate or lift-off your rim. In a more unfortunate case you´ll try remove your reflector after years and will find stone-hard adhesive residues which can´t be removed without scratching your rim. In fact, no reflective material offered to the open market combines the necessary technical properties needed for FLECTR 360 OMNI. For this reason we have teamed up with the world´s most eminent and innovative suppliers of reflective film technology.

Does FLECTR 360 OMNI have an approval?

There are a large number of different requirements for bicycle reflectors worldwide. And all countries have different degrees of liberalism in the use of reflectors. Since FLECTR 360 OMNI represents a new concept, which is also based on the growing dimensions of a recent rim designs, it currently has no approvals. We are working on this. Please decide yourself whether you want or are allowed to use our product.

Can FLECTR 360 compete with LED wheel lights?

LED driven wheel lights are a wonderful extention for show bikes on the boulevard, but not a reliable safety accessory on a night ride.

Will FLECTR 360 OMNI be offered in further colored versions in future?

As much as we like to offer more colors for our wheel reflectors, please keep in mind that EVERY – and even the lighest colour – decreases the effiency AND your visibility at a minimum of 20% in amount. Darker colours - such as red - “eat up” about 70% reflectivity. For this reason we offer FLECTR 360 OMNI just in silver and yellow.

Is FLECTR 360 OMNI reusable?

The application of adhesive reflectors to rims and spokes puts the highest demands to the adhesive. FLECTR 360 is equipped with a custom adhesive that holds reliably and can be removed even after a long time without damage. Re-use is not possible after removal.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
